It started with a drawing. Word Pizza was invented by Katherine, a 9-year-old who loves reading, words, and playing NYT puzzle games with her parents. She wanted to make her own word game — one shaped like pizza, because what's better than words and pizza?
She designed the rules: words that chain together letter by letter, a slice that grows from tip to crust, and pepperoni tiles that lock in letters to keep things spicy. Then she used AI to help her build the game and bring it to life.
We hope you enjoy it as much as she enjoyed dreaming it up.
Thank you for playing my game! — Katherine
